Paul was a successful person by all measures, had a loving wife, completed multiple degrees and won multiple awards. I had this insurmountable urge to keep reading and to find out what Paul’s answer was to the question- “what is the meaning of life?” ![]() But as I finished reading the prologue by Paul, I was hooked in (I skipped the foreword and editor’s note). My semester final exams were going on, so my intention was to delay reading the book after my finals, during the winter break. When a friend of mine recommended me the book, I initially decided to read a few pages to get a sense of what the book was about. This is not so much of a book review, rather a reflection an attempt to organize my jumbled thoughts, after I have finished reading the book “When Breath becomes Air” by Paul Kalanithi.
